Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire AGM/SGM 2026: Report
Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting of Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire 2026 – Report – 23rd September 2026
Thank you to everyone who took the time to come to the Community Pharmacy Lincolnshire Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting last Wednesday. As in previous years, we welcomed contractors and pharmacy colleagues to the evening event at Washingborough Hall just outside Lincoln.

The event was well attended, with those who came along first enjoying a buffet meal and opportunity for networking with colleagues, followed by the formal part of the AGM, where the Chair gave an overview of the work completed last financial year ending 31st March 2026 and the focus for the year ahead, and the Treasurer presenting the annual accounts.
The annual accounts were approved and a copy can be found on our finance page here, along with the Treasurer’s supplementary report to the accounts the Committee’s Annual Report. Approval was also given to adopt the new LPC model constitution from Community Pharmacy England, which is now listed on our governance page of the website here.
An informative and useful presentation followed, delivered by Dr Kevin Thomas, GP partner and GP trainer in Lincoln since 2013 who is also:
- Clinical Director, East Lindsey PCN · Deputy CEO, Lincolnshire PCN Alliance
- Primary Care Partner Member, NHS Lincolnshire ICB · Chair, Lincolnshire Primary Care Collaborative
- Clinical lead for a recently awarded Innovate UK grant looking at innovative obesity treatment pathways
Kevin has a background in medical education: PG qualification 2017, Training Programme Director for the International GP Programme
The talk was entitled
‘Worth the weight?’
Navigating the next wave of GLP‑1 innovation, and where community pharmacy fits in.
Kevin covered various areas including inequalities around obesity rates in the UK, how the environment and other factors have an impact and the current and future obesity treatments on offer. The slides can be accessed here.
We thank Kevin for his time and assistance. We continue to work closely with Kevin and his colleagues in the Lincolnshire Primary Care Network Alliance as the system moves towards greater neighbourhood working – an area where community pharmacies are well placed to support general practice colleagues through national pharmacy services such as contraception including EHC, hypertension case finding and Pharmacy First.

We hope that those who attended will join us next year and that those who were not able to come along will be able to do so next time.
The date for 2027 will be confirmed soon so watch this space!!!!
