You will have seen from CPE newsletters that in May 2026, funding and other arrangements for community pharmacies for 2026/27 were finalised. Community Pharmacy England accepted the offer on condition of a shared programme of reform with Government and NHS England.

CPE have produced a number of resources to help understand the contract, including an indicative income calculator, briefing for pharmacy owners and resources for external audiences. These can be accessed here. CPE held a webinar on 1st June, which can be accessed on demand at the link above.

The infographic below gives an overview of the settlement. Whilst the uplift is welcomed, CPE have made clear there is much more work to do to ensure the sustainability of the sector. The full CPE announcement can be accessed here.
