Lincolnshire Primary Care Staff Awards 2025.

We are delighted to announce that we will be holding a Valuing and Recognition Event for Lincolnshire Primary Care staff on Wednesday 26th March 2025 2:30pm-7:30pm at the Lincolnshire Showground to celebrate the hard work and dedication of staff working across the four pillars of Primary Care, i.e. General Practice, Community Pharmacy, Dentistry and Optometry.

The event will feature a keynote talk on team cohesion and the power of positivity by Michael McGrath MBE, breakout workshops, a celebratory afternoon tea and an awards ceremony covering individual, team and long service awards.

Shortlisted nominees and long service award recipients will be invited to the event to express our sincere gratitude for their commitment, hard work and loyalty to Lincolnshire Primary Care.

Please read on for further information on how to nominate a colleague or team for an individual or team award or submit a nomination for a long service award.

Lincolnshire Primary Care Team and Individual Awards

Awards will be presented in the following individual and team categories:

  • General Practice/PCN Outstanding Individual Contribution Award
  • Community Pharmacy Outstanding Individual Contribution Award
  • Dentistry Outstanding Individual Contribution Award
  • Optometry Outstanding Individual Contribution Award
  • General Practice/PCN Team of the Year
  • Community Pharmacy Team of the Year
  • Dentistry Team of the Year
  • Optometry Team of the Year

The awards will be presented at the Primary Care Valuing and Recognition Event to be held on Wednesday 26th March 2025 at the Lincolnshire Showground.

Lincolnshire Primary Care Long Service Awards

We want to express our sincere gratitude to those who have worked within the NHS for 30 years or more for their loyalty, commitment and dedication.

To be considered for this award, colleagues can choose to apply themselves or they can be nominated by their manager.​

Long Service Awards are available to all clinical and non-clinical Primary Care staff working in Lincolnshire who have accrued 30 years or more of service in the NHS. Staff who have had a break in service (e.g. maternity leave, adoption leave, sick leave or sabbatical) are eligible to apply. However, they must have reached aggregated 30, 40, or 50 years’ service in 2024.

Long Service Awards will be presented at the Primary Care Valuing and Recognition Event to be held on Wednesday 26th March 2025 at the Lincolnshire Showground. Recipients will receive a certificate and a pin badge showing the number of years’ service they have accrued.

Award Categories and Judging Criteria

This guidance provides information on all three award categories for the Lincolnshire Primary Care Staff Awards 2025 and the judging criteria for each award. Please bring nominations to life by providing examples of the commitment, passion and attitude your nominees exude and the impact they have in their workplace and within the four pillars of Lincolnshire Primary Care.

Outstanding Team of the Year for: General Practice, Dentistry, Optometry and Community Pharmacy

This team consistently demonstrates good team working in delivering an efficient and high performing service. They have successfully implemented change and/or improved services for the benefit of their patients, taking into account the quality and safety of the care they provide.

Who can nominate?

Staff, patients and carers.

We are looking for evidence of:

  • Effective teamwork and collaboration
  • Promoting a health and wellbeing culture
  • Embracing and representing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Working together in supporting personal and professional development of others
  • Improvement work that has taken place on behalf of patients
  • Embracing new ways of working. For example, flexible working
  • High quality services that uphold the NHS People Promise Values

 

Outstanding Individual Contribution to Primary Care Award for General Practice, Dentistry, Optometry and Community Pharmacy

This person is passionate about healthcare and goes about their daily work with a tremendous level of kindness, civility and respect towards patients, colleagues and carers.

This person is happy to help and goes the extra mile, demonstrating empathy and compassion in everything they do.

Who can nominate?

Staff, patients and carers. We are looking for evidence of:

  • Their personal and professional values aligning with the NHS People Promise values
  • Making a positive difference to patients, staff and carers
  • Creativity and innovation. For example, taking on improvement projects
  • Commitment to always providing high standards in their role that goes above and beyond what is expected

NHS 30 Years + Long Service Awards for: General Practice, Dentistry, Optometry and Community Pharmacy

This award is for staff who have worked in the NHS for 30+ years; we want to acknowledge and thank them for their tireless dedication and positive contributions over the past 3 plus decades.

Who can nominate?

Self-nominations from the individual or nominations from the individual’s manager.
